Weird going back to a javascript project I was vibe coding in February. The tools got better, but it feels like *I* got better.

I think my favourite thing about #GPT5 is benchmarking it "without thinking" -- that's how I benchmark myself!

I'm in favor of tar and feathering Gavin Newsom -- but only if it's passed as a state-level ballot measure.
Q: The president said that if he were Tom Homan he would arrest Gavin Newsom. Do you believe Newsom should face consequences in a legal way?

MIKE JOHNSON: Um, that's not my lane. I'm not gonna give you legal analysis on whether Gavin Newsom should be arrested. But he ought to be tar and feathered.

Honestly, it really tears me up how shameful we're being to Canada. We (belatedly) fought the Kaiser with Canadians, we fought Hitler with Canadians. Canadians fought the Taliban with us.

I didn't vote for this administration, but this is my country and the shame of it sticks with me.

Very bullish on OpenAI.. because I'm looking at this screen and caught myself thinking real hard about pressing that $200/month button

It's amazing to see the progress of early animation from the first cartoon in 1908 www.youtube.com/watch?v=swh4... to Little Nemo 3 years later www.youtube.com/watch?v=uW71...

Finally getting around to reading "The Wizard & the Prophet" (2018) and it feels like Mann only sees tech as something in a laboratory: reducing food waste would require behavioral changes we've already seen elsewhere so it's a non-starter but if we laser wheat with corn DNA we have a chance.

Waymo's self driving cars have the biggest gap between reality (just works, it's amazing!) and public perception (many people think it's impossible) that I've ever seen
