How many nuclei can a HeLa cell have?
Multinucleated cells can be observed in some some cancers. It is usually associated to tumor high aggressiveness and resistance to treatment.

After some time with mammalian cells and my beloved Dictyostelium, life has taken me back to my yeast origins. Must confess this first experiment was really satisfying. A mitochondria project with my colleague Ryan Cupo is cooking and will soon be ready!

Very proud to that my 1st PhD student is defending her thesis today. Diana is brilliant and she found that PHBs interact with Atg8 in yeast and its absence causes Atg32 mitophagy receptor instability impacting mitophagy. Here her paper! www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10....
