False dichotomy. Strong evidence points to American involvement in the Dismissal because Whitlam was going to pull the rug on Pine Gap. Today, our environmental laws are being rewritten in ways that put our landmass at the US's disposal. They say jump, the Env minister says 'national interest'.

I worked as a researcher for the Woomera lawyers for years, the Bakhtiyari and Al Masri cases were two of our most heart breaking cases, both illegal deportations because they embarrassed the gov. ALP approved them - Al Masir was killed in Gaza, Ali B is dead, 3 of the kids are now Aussies
