Man, I can’t stop thinking about this. There’s no income in the culture, they don’t even use money. I feel like he heard “drug glands” and that was all took, why read on?! Surely the books aren’t Azimovian in their containing warnings against simplistic understandings.

For me, playing Doom 2 normal vs god mode, it totally makes sense that a gamer would be the sort to get bored in that environment. Though I do think versions of that would be true for anyone who couldn’t find meaning in some project of worth.

In Player of Games, my personal fave, the main character is a gamer guy who is considered slightly weird for never having changed sex’s. Not genders. Sex. That’s the future Elon thinks is likely, as he helps the party that fears (((transhumanism))) and is banning gender affirming care for minors.
