If I'm reading the CPI right, inflation spiked for ~2 years (as high as 9% at the peak) from mid 2021 to mid 2023 and has hovered at a mildly-high 3% since then, with no obvious change from Biden to Trump.
And of course the prices have not come down, they're just increasing less fast than in 2022.
