The truly disturbing thing about this is that there are a lot of people whose hope for AI moving forward isn’t that it avoids making these mistakes but that it actually writes the made up books and can pass them off as being by the real authors.

Urgent care is the true American experience—you pay a $20 copay and think, yeah our system has huge flaws but at least I can get in quickly, pay a small amount and get solid care. Then inevitably a larger bill comes in the mail a week later and they’ll report you to collections if you don’t pay asap
