I think @prettyvulgar.bsky.social did something similar recently

I read this out of context and thought it was a dating site based on reading preferences

Ten below Celsius is uncomfortable to walk in, and can make my face hurt after ten minutes outside. The difference between ten below and 56 below is not something I can accurately imagine.

In Fahrenheit the difference is over 80 degrees

It looks like the difference between 50 below and 70 below, when converted to Celsius, is 45 below to 56 below. It does seem a little more dramatic in Fahrenheit

This is the full-sized version

I had a pool growing up and I mostly played basketball in there. Even that was a pretty good workout because of the water resistance I had to deal with to get to the basketball after shooting it. Pool aerobics seems a lot more intense than that.

How long is the workout? I'd be winded after a minute of that, if I could even do it at all.

It's a small neighborhood. Doesn't have much except the midnight train going anywhere.

It's a minor nitpick. But I have tried it with topiaries with the first syllable stressed and it sounds off. For what this is, the way you have it is fine. Pronouncing it a little differently to scan perfectly with the original is well within poetic license.

You're pronouncing topiaries with the third syllable stressed

-89F is much colder than -20C

I'm definitely a better writer than singer, but my issues with singing tend to be more about staying on key, not pronouncing words. I checked the standard pronunciation of topiary, and keeping that would throw this off a little.
February 16, 2026 at 5:30 PM
It's not about number of syllables. I could tell those matched without even needing to count them. But I'd you change the emphasis from the original to fit how words are usually pronounced, it can throw off how it sounds.
February 16, 2026 at 5:19 PM
If it departs from the original line, it's not correct. This is why ideally the stressed syllables in the new lyrics are supposed to match the ones in the original lyrics. I've had to rewrite lines in the past because they didn't quite match.

The stress on topiary is supposed to be on the first syllable, but to make this fit properly the stress would be on the third syllable. Since the first half of channel is stressed in the original.

They're are probably a handful of Republicans out there who I'd rather have in charge than Newsom or Fetterman, but they'd be dismissed by the current Republican base as RINOs and have no chance in the primary unless there's a massive shift against Trumpism.

I was there for a little bit and liked it at first, but then it started seeming a bit too much like discover, so I went back to following.

Strawberry Fields Forever was about when John took a trip to a meadow and saw the strawberries grazing. He thought he was just seeing things, but turns out they were real.

I thought just the spiny and duck-billed varieties in Australia did that
