Blending classical techniques with modern insight. Art that invites humor and reflection-abstracts, landscapes, and figures. SF Bay Area | 25+ years
September was busy. I never had a chance to share any of the works that I completed in preparation for the festival on October 3rd. October has been equally busy. This painting will be on its way to its forever home, shortly. "Monte Rio Bridge" oil, 18x24 inches, framed in a poplar floating frame.

Oh bluesky, what am I to do with you? We had such high hopes of building an alternative universe to the meta world... Things seem to be falling flat around here. At least for me. *LeSigh*

I'm not a selfie guy, really. You won't get too many of these from me, but I had to take a headshot for an upcoming (soon to be revealed) podcast appearance promo, so I thought I'd share. I turn 47 in less than two weeks. I'm still looking okay, right? Right??? LOL

Blum shuttering all of its brick and mortar spaces is a bit of a canary in the coal mine moment, for sure.

Part of my new Affordable Landscape Series, this small oil painting pays tribute to a beloved landmark. Painted in a mood reminiscent of American Tonalism, “Rio Theater” captures the iconic Russian River cinema nestled in the redwoods.

This is the first of many in a series of affordable landscape paintings based around locations that are well loved by locals and tourists alike. "River Inn" 6X8 inches, oil on cradled birch panel. I will mainly be targeting the tourist market with these over the course of the Summer.

I am thankful to have art as my foundation for enduring this world. I may not be rich, but I'm alive inside. I'm not on autopilot, waiting for the weekend. Every second counts.

It's hard to even call it a "practice" anymore. After more than 25 years of going hard it is simply... My life. #Art

I'm in a studio flow again where I'm working on multiples in tandem. This makes for better productivity and more efficient use of the paint. Let's see how long I can keep it up!
