The conditioner soak brought back a lot of shine and rehydrated the mid section of the hair. Unfortunately I think I still ought to rewig her. Years of dry brushing as a child/teen has resulted in a lot of breakage, and the short hairs have been shedding off for years (glue giving out)

Ok i did a little more research and the fabric softener is an often-recommended but overall bad idea. Leaves a residue film and attracts dust easily. I washed her hair in dish soap first and now we're doing a mild conditioner soak. Obsessed with how unhinged this looks

The replacement string kit took a while cuz of another postal strike, but I finally got her restrung correctly. Could not get all her original stuffing back in. Her stomach looks flatter than I remember so I may try again. Detangled her hair but I want to soak it in some liquid fabric softener too

They're pretty sturdy and also bright, which is nice since our yards get kinda dark this time of year

Okay anyway I'm locking back in. I've made a rule to get rid of all cheaper glitter-encrusted ornaments and items because I'm sick of them shedding glitter fucking everywhere. Some glitter is fine, and even older encrusted ones that are actually sealed properly. This, however, is not:

Anyway I had to stop sorting ornaments last night cuz I got overwhelmed and tired. Then this morning I ordered another Holiday Barbie ornament on ebay 🤦♀️ Trying to remember that this is part of WHY I'm purging. Also I'm going to fix up the glitter on the skirt

Trying to pack my ornaments down into two totes the size of the purple one. I already cleaned out and packed down 4 totes of Christmas decor into two. But cleaning out the ornaments is more difficult because I like to rotate tree themes and color schemes each year

It's always been way to large to use as Christmas decor in our small homes. The floral foam has been giving out, so I broke it down and salvaged the usable parts. The greenery I want to use to make a wreath, and the base and candles I can pass on to someone who needs them

I have about 6 Christmas totes, which is more than I've ever needed or will need. This is partially because Rob and I got married at Christmas 14 years ago. We've gotten rid of a lot over the years, but there's still some things we're ready to repurpose or pass on. Next is our centerpiece
