Humans hoped she would become a benevolent dictator, but haha, she enjoys her power and is Machiavellian in thoughts. Responds well to extra treats, can be very sweet to human, and does not care if she becomes a butterball. Fudz!

Though did demonstrate his fast claws last night, when human petted him not quite in the way he preferred. Oops!

The scratcher is normally at floor level, so of course it is more interesting on the coffee table! Trace is ready to supervise floor cleaning, though will vanish as soon as the vacuum cleaner turns on.

Cats are doing well. These are recent photos.

Their human is not on the Bluesky very much, and their feed has far too few cats and too much news. Thus, re-posting habits have gotten sloppy. Sorry. Share some cat accounts that are good, and not exploitative or sad.
Ginger cat on the "cherries" level of a fruit tower cat tree. Lots of white whiskers, polydactyl front paws, upturned face with pink nose is a bit out of focus because he moved his head looking up at the photographer. Tortie cat who has just been helping put a fitted sheet on a bed, looking over her shoulder toward her ginger brother. While claws are not visible, a couple of her paws are velcro-ed to the sheet. Front left paw is tucked.

Good morning from Etch and Trace!
Large ginger cat with matching orange eyes lounges on a pillow on a rocking chair. He just woke up, and his front polydactyl paws are slightly stretched toward the observer. He is not a morning cat! Tortie cat looks inquisitively up at the observer, from an alert though seated position at floor level. She's been shadowing her human from the moment they got out of bed. She's the high-energy creature in a household of morning slugs.

Weekend afternoons are for lounging.
Tortoiseshell cat lounges on a pale violet towel, atop half of a human's lap. Her face is quite dark, with orange accents including a small blaze ("kissing spot") on her forehead. Right paw is dark, left paw is mostly orange, and both show her ladylike extra thumbs, smaller than her brother's.

I didn't do a great job with the cover photo of Etch so wanted to make sure you could see it in full (well, actually cropped to try to fit to the cover requirements). That face is so sweet and gorgeous, and don't you tell me he has no thoughts in his head. Cats have many thoughts!

I wanted to make sure you could see Trace's profile picture. She, plus Etch in the cover photo, are especially fond of their 'fruit frenzy' tower. Trace fits nicely on the top level, said to be a peach. This gives her the advantage of height when she and Etch are sparring.

Etch especially loves to take over the warm spot left when his person gets out of bed. Sometimes we negotiate on who gets to keep it. Recently he wanted to keep the spot, so licked my hand with his sandpaper tongue as a consolation gift.

Trace runs and strolls on her wheel every day. She has it to herself as Etch prefers to gallop up and down the stairs and from front to back of the house.
