Looks like a helpful analogy
We are living through wildfires, both literally and metaphorically. As our democracy burns down, we can learn a lot from what firefighters do - and how those around them support them. I've treated myself to the book "365 days of art". The first day's instruction is "colour or create a pattern". I was trying on japanese shirts today because I liked the patterns, so I'm now digging into Japanese fabric designs for ideas, and it's delightful www.nippon.com/en/japan-dat...

Language is odd, therapy is great, I'm a work in progress. Today she (rightly) picked me up about using 'you' instead of 'me' to add psychological distance, hours after I gave the same advice at work. I also shorten it by using 'you' instead of 'they'. Sorry. Am working on being less confusing now

These are uncertain times for many friends. Much is changing, much is being torn down, there is much direct and indirect cruelty that will happen regardless of protest or appeal. Many good people are swept up in this, as both affected and affector. I am old - I've seen too many countries do this.
