An espooky podcast hosted by twins Carmen & Cristina. We talk about all things spooky, legends, myths, true crime (and horror book club) in Latin America. On Spotify, YouTube & all podcast apps.
New episodes every Friday (this is Cristina on here though)
Every time I need a book for podcast research, I check my library and they had one out of two I was looking for! Placed a hold.

This is your reminder that if you live in #Chicago we have a free bookstore. YES, free bookstore. You can get free books here.

I donate all of my books here. So, they generally have a solid horror section because I keep them well-stocked.

Very unsurprised to read about podcasting’s diversity problem. Of the top 100 podcasts in 2024, 64% were white and 74% men, true crime is where women dominated but of those 90% were white

We got rid of a bunch of streaming services and started going to our local video rental store once a week. It’s been so fun seeing what the kids pick out! Today one chose Goosebumps: Attack of the Jack-O’-Lanterns and the other chose the Smurfs: the Legend of Smurfy Hollow

I’ve been trying to watch more Mexican horror, well Latine horror as a whole, and why did I not know about Belzebuth before? This was a wild watch. Joaquin Cosío was phenomenal

OMG! Mychal did it. Anyone who first caught this wonderful human gaining an audience on TikTok knew there was something special happening. What an incredible journey and story. Promoting reading and libraries is so damn important right now, and I can't think of a better ambassador.

I've seen people calling for the boycott of products from El Salvador & maybe some of you don't know.

There have been mass protests against the president since the start of his regime. Salvadorans have been subject to arbitrary arrests, state violence and mass incarceration for a long time.

Speculative fiction is great because it let's you change how something happened and one of my absolute favorites stories of all time is @cynthiasaysboo.bsky.social the Nightmare Box & Other Stories.

All the stories were a 5/5 for me, but especially Red Brick with all the increasing deportations.
