Jared Golden isn’t even running again in 2026 so there isn’t even an excuse that he’s doing it appeal to swing voters

My concern is that this happens and the ones who are most prepared with a draft replacement are all the worst actors in our current system. They’ve been preparing for exactly that type of moment.

This feels like the central toxicity of these dude-gurus: They're feeding men an ideology that immediately casts it as "virtue signaling" whenever anyone states a moral value of any kind. An explicitly nihilistic worldview and a recipe for lifelong misery.

Idk about the gender based component, but it’s certainly wild that some people’s idea of freedom clearly seems to involve freedom to do crimes

I’ve seen others express this same outrage, and it baffles me. There’s no reason a car should ever be going over 80 mph, and it’s wild that we don’t require every car sold in the US to come with a governor limiting how fast they can go.

You see this with a lot of the coverage where they'll do a bunch of interviews rather than just crunch some numbers, because stories are easier to tell with people or whatever, which would be a compelling argument if man on the street interviews ever produced anything interesting

If the electorate cared about economic data, then we would have a different president.
