I’m still excited that I got a good look at a Cedar Waxwing last night! It was in one of the first bird books I read, but I’ve never actually seen one. Big thanks to the park staff that pointed my camera barrel in the right direction. 🪶

The spring/summer bright yellow feathers of the goldfinch are here. Such a difference from their winter brown feathers. The black cap is still a bit patchy, but it will get there. 🪶

A goldfinch with the paler winter color palette arrives at the sunflower seed bird feeder. The bright yellow feathers will return again in the spring.
