The abc CLI project has been enhanced with a new OpenAI plugin for use with, say, GPT-5.

Website: getabc.sh

GitHub: github.com/alestic/abc

abc now supports:
- Anthropic (Claude models)
- OpenAI (GPT models)
- AWS Bedrock (Claude, Nova, etc)
abc - AI bash/zsh/tcsh Command
abc is a command line tool to convert natural language instructions into shell commands and place on the next shell prompt

This is Kiro - the AI IDE that works on your messy, real-world projects. Other AI tools lose context when projects get complex. Kiro gives you spec-driven development that scales beyond prototypes.

I did not have a new SQS Queue type on my bingo card, but here we are and they're very cool. SQS Fair Queues automatically balance multiple tenants (identified by their MessageGroupID), filtering out noisy neighbors. Love it when foundational services keep improving!

I'm tired of being "absolutely right".

Tell me when I'm wrong.

Tell me when I forgot to take something into account.

Tell me when I could consider another option.

Each AI model needs its own prompting approach - like how different makeup brushes are designed for specific tasks. You wouldn't use an eyeliner brush for blush!

I can't always remember those sysadmin commands I only use a few times a decade.

abc to the rescue (the LLM's proposed commands will be based on the current operating system).

The AWS Community Builders application process is now open:

I‘m a 5th year Community Builder myself, and the program has a lot of benefits, like direct exchange with other fellow builders via Slack, info about upcoming releases, and not to forget, generous AWS credits.

Tired of asking a web LLM to generate aws-cli commands for you and copy+pasting the result into your shell?

I've written a shell command that does this for me, and I can't live without it now.

getabc.sh

Ready for feedback and issues from early adopters.

Hopefully #awswishlist works here as well: I want that the ECR PullThrough cache makes the `library` path for official images transparent

Currently it fails if the library prefix is missing but tools often allow only to set one prefix and that breaks for official images.

What AWS employee did I talk to Sunday evening during #reInvent at Illy, about Cline and Bedrock SDKs?

I think they are on the Bedrock team, and are comfortable with code.

Feel free to reach out in private if you have ideas.

Thanks. It was a great conference. You made it possible, and I see and appreciate your work. 🥰
