Even if it is just ripples from Covid, social isolation does seem to be having an effect on our social and political lives.

Attempting to make sense of these effects is an interesting project, even if people disagree with some of the ways the author is interpreting that effect.

I guess I am not sure that this article actually is crap. I don't know much about this Derek Thompson guy, but the problem of social isolation does seem to be important and interesting to talk about.

It's not like this guy is a Nazi (as far as I can tell)

I guess we may have seen different posts, but I remember that when I joined there was a strong narrative of Bluesky being an alternative to the toxicity of X.
