Open-source software for open-source hardware! The Julia programming language julialang.org now supports precompiled external dependencies for RISC-V riscv.org : github.com/JuliaPackagi.... (This means that packages such as OpenBLAS or MPI can soon be easily downloaded as binaries.)

So when a health insurance company (or any other company or person ftm) says “it’s an AI deciding this” what they really say is “our executive leadership deliberately choose to let an AI decide they fully know is fundamentally flawed”.

I walked our dog yesterday night (on a leash). I saw a Smelly Cat (*) at the side of the road, and so did the dog. He yanked the leash, the cat ran away, and we were engulfed in the smell.
