Jeg forstår ikke, hvordan den almindelige danskers oksekødsovs ikke er et problem. Landbrugets udledninger udgør over 1/3 af samlede udledninger - med animalsk produktion som hovedbidrager. Mængden af oksekød vi hver især kan spise inden for de plantære grænser er forsvindende lille.

A good question that gets even more complicated by the fact that the cooperatives produced primarily for exports - consumers were British. What did make a difference, I think, was the social democratic cottar policies and protection of smallholder farming.

In agriculture, my take is that the cooperatives did speed up the transition to capitalist farming compared to other countries. In this piece, we briefly touch upon a comparison with France, although I would like to explore that point more in depth. onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10....

This is exactly the same as the danish farmer cooperatives. Regarding prices between members and the cooperatives, these were of course internally determined but still reflected the ability of the cooperative to produce competitively to the market - especially the UK butter and bacon markets.

did stop a capitalist logic with all its destructive consequences for workers, animals and nature from unfolding in Danish farming. In fact, I argue it reinforced such a logic. So let’s finally put to rest the idea that the cooperative form offers an alternative to capitalism. 3/3

shareholders, or members - as in cooperatives - doesn’t really change its operating logic: it must raise productivity and maximize profits to stay competitive.
