Vivaldi has an explicit anti-AI policy. It is built on chromium, though, so the ad blocking isn't as robust as Firefox and Firefox forks.

I also use Firefox but you do have to do an about:config edit to turn off ai. (Some Firefox forks are less AI-y.)

Oh yikes! I hope everyone is okay.

I like Tidal! You can import your spotify playlists and it's very similar in functionality.

I'm sorry, friend. <3

Oh yeah it's even harder on iPhone because of their browser rules! Exhausting. I don't know why the AO3 doesn't let you save your search parameters, which would be game-changing.

Yeah, I do this but it's a pain to set up

(Firefox for android -> install violentmonkey for android extension -> install ao3 savior and ao3 savior config, add your blocked tags to ao3 savior config)

If that's too much trouble to figure out, I have used GoodRX for this before - they do a discount program for commercial pharmacies e.g. www.goodrx.com/conditions/f... . They'll list which pharmacy chain offers what price. (Costco is also cheap but iirc requires membership.)

An HRSA-funded health center typically has free or low-cost vaccines (but you usually have to call to figure out the details). There's a list here: bphc.hrsa.gov/about-health...

I have a stock of the patch and I could mail you a couple if you want to just try them out - I buy them in the big container to make that somewhat more affordable

Yes, a common brand is 3M Medipore and it will say "hypoallergenic."

You could also try a non-latex bandage & see if you react to it; I don't know what your other latex exposure is but you can also develop late-in-life latex allergies, and there are cheap non-latex bandages in every drugstore

Sadly as far as I'm aware almost all bandaids use very similar adhesives.

Patch bandaids use a different adhesive, which I personally don't react to, but they're expensive.

You can use a skin barrier film below bandaids (but not over the wound). Or gauze + hypoallergenic tape (annoying).

And she spent all this time like "what if his personality changes" and her coworkers were like "it will, because he will have been quarantined from all human contact."
September 3, 2025 at 8:56 PM
I wasn't there but her coworkers eventually convinced her to get the post-exposure prophylaxis herself and then her vet had to report it to the state and her dog (who had long-lapsed vaccination) had to get post-exposure vaccines AND do a bunch of monitoring AND be quarantined and etc. Poor pup.

A rich woman I worked with ages ago had this opinion and it was exhausting. She fed her dog only wild-killed meat because it was "natural."

Then she and her dog were both possibly bitten by a bat, and she didn't want to report it because she thought they'd make her dog get post-exposure vaccines.
