Feels like a metaphor...

Yep. STILL using this slide when talking about Aztec origin stories in class tomorrow.

When I first saw this, I was struck by the thought that you could just replace the temple with a colonial Catholic church or cathedral, and this would look like innumerable towns I've visited in Guatemala, Mexico, and Belize.

Damn Spotify didn't have to do all that now. I mean, I'm going to listen. (This is what you get when you and your teenage daughter often use the same Spotify account.)
