Funny at times, smart at times, and always annoying.
The indignation about “not being allowed to” change the bill is peak Mike Johnson. It never would have seen the floor if not for the discharge petition. Johnson believes he is entitled to block anything he wants. And if he fails to block something, he’s then entitled to change it. Such a loser.

Lizza alluding to the age gap between Nuzzi and Olbermann as problematic, when Lizza is himself 20 years older than her, is so funny

Overreact to facially awful but substantively smart news -> double down & expand argument beyond actual issue -> reframe to suggest other person doesn’t care about [insert enormously important problem]. Yeah, not going down this road.

I promise SNAP will not be killed from this. I’m angry too, just wish collective energy would focus on 15 alarm fires - like masked feds in the streets and unsanctioned murder of boaters. Anger over a savvy (even if hard) decision by a wonderful Justice unnecessarily demoralizes. But JMO

The issue is over the temporary funding. SCOTUS cannot “kill” the program, much less from this lawsuit.
November 8, 2025 at 3:40 AM
So you think Justice Jackson doesn’t want to restore SNAP?
November 8, 2025 at 3:36 AM
Liberal Justices did it in the hopes the circuit upholds the district court, and Supreme Court can then just sign off and restore benefits. Context matters

They landed on it being entirely about the ACA subsidies. That was the messaging.

Could not agree more that a policy rider prohibiting masked federal agents is the right play. But democrats have not messaged on it *at all* and risk looking pretty bad if they change the demands if their initial demand is met. but that’s JMO
