Hermes is the Greek Mercury. Apollo is the rare god with the same name in both cultures

That was a great talk and a great reminder of how JavaScript developed

The Korean name of the dish is doganitang and I think something got messed up in that translation with the "dog" in the name (the syllables are actually broken up do-gan-i-tang, so it is extremely messed up in many ways)

Ooh is it hard to figure out or should we ask you for pointers? I just noticed it in Zoom yesterday but instead spent the time figuring out how to not invoke it in Google search

I like how it’s very critical to the story that it’s set in Georgia but he was a fuck “tonne” richer than you. I think you’ve been in England a long time

They're regional alerts - I'm in Gyeongbuk and haven't gotten anything about Seoul subways.

Learning more about flour (in both languages) than I’d expected. I guess Gold Medal “all-purpose” is less coarse than other brands. Maybe the Korean one you got will be more like a King Arthur all-purpose.

Well I’m not much of a baker so I use all purpose for … all purposes. Did a little more “research” (also a google search rather than a dictionary” and a blog translates them into “strong/bread flour”, “medium” and “weak/soft/bakers flour”. So the last is the opposite of “powerful” 🤷‍♀️

“Gompyo” means “bear brand” and is the actual brand name (곰표)

Depends on what you mean by “the same as”. Everything written on there suggests that it serves the same function. I guess in Korean the flour comes in medium, strong and “powerful”, which I think refers to the amount of gluten. This one is medium and the English says “all-purpose”
