You know all those weird social cues and steps required for a person to go from being a stranger or an acquaintance to a friend or lover or whatever? For me, most of those are so stressful and/or confusing that I dont even bother anymore.

I adore visual artistry in its myriad forms, and I've come to appreciate music more and more as I get older, but the written word--the euphonious magic of a well-turned phrase--always has been, and always will be, most deeply etched upon my heart.

I'm in the last few days, and as per usual, I am both exceedingly proud and terribly ashamed of the amount of content I've ingested over the past month.
The new FRANKENSTEIN looks boring and basic AF. 🙄🙄🙄
Aside from Brooks' classic romp, the only quality update I've found of Shelley's work is THE ANGRY BLACK GIRL AND HER MONSTER (2023), written/directed by #BomaniJStory. Remakes/adaptations should add something to the convo, or what's the point??

Who was the sadist(s) who named those ships after Icarus? I mean, it's obvs a suicide mission, but they could've at least named them after Daedalus & given those poor bastards a whiff of hope! Plus, spoiler alert much?!

Once I started THE HEAD on HBO MAX, I couldn't stop. If you like twisty-turny thrillers that keep you guessing, then give it a peep. The title has a literal meaning, but it really refers to the writers' exploration of the myriad ways in which our heads can be manipulated, lit & fig. 👍🏼👍🏼 #mustwatch
