Anyone else hold on tightly to characters or scenes that need to be cut from your book. The tough love of critique is so good and also hard to swallow.

Bluesky is officially “open” now (no more invites). So just a reminder to not engage with trolls and bad actors, there is no algorithm here to promote or spread them, replying to them is what puts them on everybody’s timelines. So block and give no oxygen.

Finding balance is hard. This year I am practicing being kind to myself by counting any "butt in chair" time as a win whether I accomplish a single sentence or over 1000 words.
