My freezers right now have gallon baggies with one cup cubes of duck and chicken stock and I'm planning their use for 'oh crap, it's soup season' (also, learned a few weeks ago that wow stock in the Instant Pot/Pressure cooker is also great for time savings).

That said she is next to me on the couch snorking very very loudly because she's not used to having a yard as a running course to zoomie herself. I'm sure she'll build up those zoom skills along with refining her baked potato.

Oh yes, but it might be a bit since my graph paper plan says I'm just a touch over halfway done since sleeves also take a bunch of work!

It's all the same color! Which is to say it's Kelbourne Woolens Germantown in Pansy (So a darkish purple).

I mean, I should have a trauma response to KnitPicks because I had some projects I made with their yarn where I measured things in miles of yarn (perhaps crochet shawls in fingering were not my brightest of ideas 😂)

*makes grabby hands even tho I have a WIP and planned next projects and their yarn*

I keep joking I want solar cell siding on the south side of our 2 story house (or the solar carport). Our temperate weather use is btwn 9 and 13 kWh a day so generating that power should be doable (and the roof slants one way West/Northwest so roof solar would be 💩)

I bought tennis balls last weekend in anticipation and she immediately got the wiggles when she saw them.

Sadly one cannot smuggle meat products in one's luggage legally (I really wanted to coming back from Barcelona years ago).

I mean...it's me going down to Richmond to Lidl while also probably doing a run to Lotte Plaza at the same time.

Yes! More butter means more baking...or frozen cookie dough made for 'the world is straight what the poop' emergencies (as I also have an extensive chocolate chip stash)
November 14, 2025 at 3:04 AM
Oh, yeah, I mean a tasty cured leg of Spanish 🐷
November 14, 2025 at 2:48 AM
I mean... Lidl has butter for $2.49 a pound amongst other things, so that already justifies the gas cost to drive there on the freeway, mostly downhill where I may use 3 gallons total on the trip. (Also the serrano is $30 cheaper than the local Costco to whom we lack a membership)

An upside though is that this weekend Freya will be able to play in the yard because we're getting a real fence! It got more than halfway done today, finished tomorrow.
November 14, 2025 at 2:35 AM
I'm seriously doing 'well I could buy 15 lbs of a leg of serrano at Lidl for $99 and if I drive an hour down there I could hit the Korran/Chinese/Indian/Eastern European (Lotte plaza) grocery store as well' for early next week because *gestures*
November 14, 2025 at 2:31 AM
That sounds tasty.
