Little nine-patch quilt done. It’s not my favorite finished piece but I enjoyed the process and I learned things and I’m ready to move on ✨

Current quilt in progress, using the Floating Squares score from Sherri Lynn Wood’s book. Going ruler-free on this one and it feels very cathartic to cut and piece using intuition. Fabric is repurposed from men’s shirts and an old white duvet cover.

I have lots but only routinely use 2 or 3 of these (usually one with a hard top + one soft silicone grippy needle puller). The rest make excellent distractions/toy hats for the child when he wants to “help.” I wanted to like the leather thimble but I just don’t… too bulky.
