The grandmothers are planning a scavenger hunt for the kids tomorrow and told me they planned to make an AI generated treasure map. I came down on that idea like a Luddite hammer and then felt obligated to make an artisanal map, complete with singed edges, to prove a point.

Hoping these numbers hold cause I want to see the homophobic pastor who swore he wouldn’t step down from his pastor position if elected mayor get CRUSHED by Mary Sheffield, who will be the first female mayor in Detroit’s history.

Pretty sure that Detroit is going to elect its first female mayor today but nervous that a former cop who was terrible on city council is going to beat the incumbent in our district. Can I also just brag about how classically Detroit our “I voted” stickers are?

This year potato house went with an elaborate Costco theme and was also handing out hot dogs and an array of Detroit themed screen printed bags that were a joy to see carried by folks all night. I need to befriend these mad generous geniuses.

Possible recession indicator: a house notorious for being a full sized candy bar house went with minis this year. There are now more potato houses though, one house was handing out ramen to throngs of THRILLED children dressed as K Pop Demon Hunters. And the 8yo got hot cocoa mix:
