In Burbank this morning, I met a couple who told me they still didn’t know if their house was still standing.

We looked it up online and got the good news together.

It was still there.

FEMA has opened two one-stop-shop disaster recovery centers here in LA. There are 60+ booths here, ready to help.

UCLA Research Park West
10850 West Pico Blvd

Pasadena City College Community Education Center 3035 East Foothill Blvd.

Both are open daily from 9am to 8pm.

Trump and Musk joined together to kill Mike Johnson’s short-term spending compromise to keep the government open. Among other things, the measure contained nearly $100 billion in national disaster aid, economic aid for farmers and a federal commitment to rebuild Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge.
