I just loaded up another month of #gischat posts. Why do I bother? After all, interactions with the weekly posts have been pretty low lately. Because community is important and this is one way to help us connect. Will you join me this Wednesday?

Today’s Google Doodle celebrates Eunice Newton Foote, born #OTD 1819. She was the first scientist to conclude, over 160 years ago, that rising CO₂ levels would change atmospheric temperature and ultimately climate. Her work predates that of (the more well-known) John Tyndall.

A ship is heading down a canal where Gladys the Orca is waiting to sink it. However, you can pull a lever that will redirect the ship down a narrow section of the canal where it is going to get stuck.

Do you pull the lever?
