I'm old enough to remember the Republican freakout because President Carter didn't sell his peanut factory, instead he put it into a blind trust, because maybe Carter would have taken some action that might theoretically benefit his business. We've come a long way!

One of my favorite places in the world, and we can thank the efforts of environmental groups and Philip and Sala Burton in Congress that it isn't sprawl suburban developments out there. The wilderness area designation protects the whole area.
