DMCA implementation is beyond broken. Unilateral takedowns without any burden of evidence constantly made by the side with more money and more lawyers.

Please keep pushing on this. So many MSM orgs are completely failing us right now. It's sickening. We need independent journalism more than ever, and I appreciate what you do

Iced is definitely in a similar situation with almost no documentation currently. I love zed as well, so maybe I'll give it a shot!

How mature is gpui at the moment? You like it compared to any other rust guis you might have tried like Iced, etc?

I would not be surprised if offices are blatantly ignoring HIPPA and just letting a LLM go wild on everyone's medical records to avoid having to pay a receptionist $20 an hour.

How can a company with so many seemingly super qualified and intelligent people be completely incapable of making anything interesting or useful to consumers.

Gmail, docs, and YouTube are great of course, but how about something from this decade.

Not to mention....it will be a shitty email that no one will want to read.

And the best way to funnel more money upward? Gut the federal government and all the protections the traditional financial system offers, driving even more people to be crypto-curious. Sow fear and distrust in institutions. And then wait for the money to roll in.

Really well-written article. One thing imo not discussed strongly enough is the increasing income inequality crypto causes. Its pyramid-scheme nature always ends up funneling money to those holding the most coin. It's simply a tool wrapped in empty promises designed to extract more money for the 1%

I agree, even though I think they can be very useful. To me, the main problem is not the tools themselves but complete ignorance of people using them.

People need to be educated about 1)how they work 2)why they are unreliable 3)how they can be used responsibly. But all they get is marketing hype.

Lemme get some of that

Me desperately clinging to my 10 year old Sony dumb tv with no wifi. Gonna be so sad when it's gone and have to buy a TV with ads (literally every one)

This is still preferable to corporations claiming your posts as if it's their property and selling the rights to your data for profit.
