Advice from a professional writer on how to take down the Republican Party. Don't react, attack. https://epurchaseattack.substack.com/
What could the Epstein files reveal about Trump that we don't already know? Nothing. Why would Republicans who ignored the mountain of evidence we already have be moved by the Epstein files?

I hope the press doesn't write about the new information as if anyone could in good faith have believed that Trump isn't a sex offender.

I think the end of this season is already determined. How many times have we heard Beane over the last 5 years say he likes the roster the way it is, making only incremental moves? The Dolphins loss is what happens when you stick with nearly great for too long.

The Republican numbers are most interesting because it shows reality is leaking through to them despite right-wing media.

Republicans are in power in part because the Democratic Party doesn't know how to sell itself to voters.

"When you see someone looking at your product, hesitating to buy, it’s tempting to offer a discount. But that signals you don’t think your product is worth the full price, and maybe even the discounted price is too high. Hold firm."

Yes, they should do this, but I doubt the Democratic Party has the imagination for it.

Followed the Buffalo Bills for long enough to understand failure. The cave-in is like being down 4 points with 4 minutes left in the game and punting on 4th and 1 from the opponent's 40 yard line. The coach thinks he's making the hard calls.

If Republicans were capable of learning lessons, they would have become Democrats 20 years ago.

The Senate today is 54-46 for Republicans. If the 8 Senators who caved were Republicans (62-38), the outcome wouldn't have been different.
November 11, 2025 at 1:24 PM
The cave-in just makes it harder to fight. Next confrontation, Republicans will tell themselves: Just wait. Democrats will cave like they did last time.

I'm done sending money to Democrats until they show they know how to win.
November 10, 2025 at 10:46 PM
There's something deeply wrong with the Democratic Party when 8 Senators give in after a 40-day shutdown and a big election win five days before. Is the Democratic Party about to collapse?

Democratic voters: "Fight! Fight! Fight! For heaven's sake, fight!"

Democratic Senators: "I think voters are telling us to give up."

After the D Senators' cave, the odds of the Democratic Party saving American democracy went from 30% to 10%.

The Senate cave-in by Dems shows there's no downside to challenging the old guard in the Party. What difference does it make if a Republican wins and votes for awful things or a Democrat wins and votes for those awful things?

You can tell what people like Kaine are thinking: I must move to the political center. They never think: I'm going to move the political center toward me.
November 10, 2025 at 5:55 PM
I'm starting to wonder if the best approach is for all Democrats to switch to the Republican Party and try to bring it back to reality from the inside. The Democratic Party doesn't seem up to the job.

I was feeling more optimistic than I've been for a year. The cave by D Senators has me back to grim. If you don't fight for your party's signature achievement of the last 25 years, why fight at all? If your caucus can't stay united when the public is on your side, what chance do you have of winning?
November 10, 2025 at 5:42 PM
Do i have this right? They put the country through a 40-day government shutdown and wait till after their party wins a resounding victory in elections, and then they vote to reopen without getting anything in return? That can't be right.

#1 Beane. Too complacent. Too happy with the personnel he's got.

It's clear the Bills aren't going to the Super Bowl.
