Constitutional language barring pardons for political favor or financial advancement would be nice--perhaps a judicial branch oversight process or vetting/appeal against codified standards would also help. I feel like Ford pardoning Nixon should have been a five-alarm fire for how open ended it is.

Truly any Republican candidate with even a peripheral connection to a sex worker would get them booted from the party. Also, I have been in a coma for the last ten years.

I genuinely think the response to this sort of BS from Vance should be to start asking him to expound on which features of a chesterfield he finds most erotic. If he's going to shamelessly lie, start doing it back.

I recently attended a screening of silent-era FW Murnau's Faust, and I was struck at how a 100 year old movie was still able to achieve some dazling visuals. The host/musician of the screening said something that struck me: "they used a stage setting because were not filming to depict real life."

Maybe a little niche, but in researching for my novel the "feudal" leasehold system of rural 19th century upstate NY (recognizing that term is inaccurate, even if used extensively in the era) I feel like I'm accidently trolling medievalists whenever I shorthand describe it that way.
