10/10 Conclusion: The absolute isn’t a distant “hyper-chaos” but the immanent, ever-becoming field of reality itself. Philosophy’s task? To think this dynamic, decentered world - no subject, no transcendent, just creative flux.

And then the blind beggar walked in the palace and said 'I saw nothing."
Saw nothing! Yes!He was older than the creation itself and was witness to the Nothing that preceded all.
So we asked him "Hey blind beggar. That Nothing that preceded all. How was it?"
"Pretty good." he said. "Okay. Not great."

your country's having a nightmarish run of ghoulish, senile, vampiric leadership. okay, lemme check some things -- it wasn't built anywhere near a native American burial ground, was it, cause that can...hang on. What's that you say? The *whole country* is a native American burial ground?

is there any chance Lutheranism and the Roman Catholic Church will bury the hatchet? This Pope seems nice, and the whole faith vs. works issue is impossible for normal people to understand, so it doesn't seem (to me!) worth fighting over.

😬 I can't help but think about how widespread trauma is throughout our societies. There are very few of us who haven't been affected by trauma. That anger at traumatized people reflects our recognition of something we're avoiding in ourselves.
Anger is a flashlight.

we all talk about trauma or w/e and then get angry when a traumatized person is traumatized

do people still say "imbricated"?
I went to grad school in the 90s and when I dipped into discourse around 2010 everything was imbricated.
Is that still going strong?
I do think everything is imbricated but I was surprised that it was expressed that way rather than inter-twined or mixed-up or such.

pre-writing a devastating obituary for your enemy is god-tier hating of a kind you don’t often see anymore. renaissance haterism. beautiful stuff.
A Sharon Begley byline, almost 5 years after her death.
Upon hearing the news James Watson had died, a STAT reporter said in our Slack, "I wish I could read what Sharon would have written."
Incredible news: Sharon in fact did pre-write a Watson obit. And it is masterful and excoriating.
