At the end of 2023 my longest ride was 12 miles
At the end of 24 it was 43 miles.
This year I've done 3 rides over 60 miles including an 84 mile ride this weekend!!
Never thought I'd get to this level but I'm really enjoying it.
Now to get 250 more miles in to reach another goal for this year.

Having a chinchilla is not easy or clean but sad to see my kid's chinchilla pass this morning. She could be a cuddly floof-ball at times, parkour the next, and then go hide a minute later. RIP Rin.

First time riding into the mountains. Never thought I’d be able to do this. I really enjoyed heading up to Genesse and back down Lookout Mountain.

Represented We Ride 4 Cycling Club at Storm the Castle ride in McPherson, KS. A great ride for the first 31 miles w/ a decent Kansas wind behind us & fun climb to the castle north of Lindsborg, KS. Heat/wind on the way home was a a big challenge, though. A great ride & hope to come back next year.

Great WR4 gravel ride this morning. A bit slower after a good BBQ at our new house yesterday but hit up some new trails that I really liked. Need to up my rides before Storm the Castle in a couple weeks.

In-laws took us all to the Colorado Rockies game. At least 3/4 the people here are Astros fans. Not sure more of them with the Rockies record but surprised at just how many are here.

Great ride this morning. Some really cool sites and my largest climb. Gonna take some time to get used to the altitude and hills but the scenery makes it so much easier.

Worked my my 16 yo to build a play area for his chinchilla. She had a larger area at the old house but this should work well for her here.

A lot of people wonder why I’m into dirt track racing. My grandpa managed this car out of his garage and we would go to the racetrack on Fridays. It was so illegal that you could put almost anyone in it and win. It also was so nice we would clean it and then it’d win car shows. Such great memories.

Not bad for my first ride in Colorado, other than forgetting to start my ride. 🤣. Missed out on about 6 miles.
Had my first creek crossing. Didn’t have enough speed to make it up the hill on the other side but wasn't sure how soft or rocky the creek was. Next time I'm flying through it!!

Not bad for my first ride in Colorado, other than forgetting to start my ride. 🤣. Missed out on about 6 miles.

Usually I only see step counts like this when I’m at a conference but this week it was final packing and then moving to Denver. Wish I could relax next week but it’s back to work.

Good ride this morning. Ever since I completed my first metric century I’ve been knocking out multiple PRs on my weekly rides. Feels good to see progress.

Flint Hills Flyer ride really kicked my butt Sunday. Not sure why I struggled so bad & still tired from 2 days later. Thinking it was heavily a lack of nutrition. Need to plan better.
Good news is that one of my goals this year was to ride at least one metric century and I've now done 2.

Flint Hills Flyer ride really kicked my butt Sunday. Not sure why I struggled so bad & still tired from 2 days later. Thinking it was heavily a lack of nutrition. Need to plan better.

Good ride today. Pretty decent headwind for about 15 miles and some tough rock on a few gravel roads. Had a great time and went 23 miles further than my previous record.

Had a good, quick trip to Denver to check out our new house while it’s being inspected. Had to stop at Breck Brewery for a beer before heading back to the airport. 3 weeks and we’ll officially have a house in Colorado. Oh, and the new house has a cupola. Sweet!!!
