I imagine some practitioners and authors make claims about it's benefits that aren't supported by science.

My experience of Alexander has been as a performer studying with Cathy Madden, who is from the Marjorie Barstow lineage, which I guess is different than mainstream Alexander technique.

This is why I love solar PV: It scales down and allows for bottom-up adoption. It works with the grid or off the grid. It doesn't require megaprojects. It's cheap and will continue to get cheaper for the foreseeable future.

To be fair, China is doing that, too.

I'm obviously not an expert on UK farming, nor am I an expert on agrivoltaics—just a casual fan. I wouldn't necessarily write them off, entirely. Admittedly, your farms look a lot nicer than ours, so the aesthetic tradeoff might be worse. sheffield.ac.uk/news/solar-t...

I agree that urban solar shold be a priority, though there are many situations in the North American west where agrivoltaics would have the benefit of reducing water use, maintaining per-acre crop/livestock yields, financially benefit farmers, and produce electricity with almost no downsides.

Yep, remove permitting and finance red tape, get rid of fossil fuel subsidies will dramatically reduce the CO2 footprint of electricity production within a few years—in a bottom-up, decentralized way. We still need to solve the energy storage problem, but it's not the current bottleneck (in the US).

Big agro farms ain't the natural world. Plus agrivoltaic land use works really well for many regions/crops.

[2/2] MAGA politicians are overplaying their hand and the moderates of this country will come to realize the moral bankruptcy of dehumanizing people for political gain. I grieve for the families impacted in the meantime.

We need an alternative grid storage tech to lithium ion. Whether or not their concerns are justified, people are worried about fires—especially in the west.

Also, a sizable percentage of undocumented immigrants are visa overstays, so technically, they DID come here legally.
