Observation from #NoKings in the Seattle area (Issaquah) - the stereotype of protesters being a bunch of blue haired young people is outdated. Senior citizens are out there dusting off their protesting skills from the 60s. The old folks are pissed, ya’ll.

Just finished Andor last night. The original trilogy will always hold a special place in my heart, but for my money, Andor may be the best storytelling I’ve seen in the Star Wars universe. Spectacular writing, acting, and direction throughout.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there! I’m sure I’m not unique in the #booksky community in recalling early memories of my mother reading JRR Tolkien and C.S. Lewis to me as a child. My love of reading, writing, and fantasy has never diminished, and I owe that to her.

My brother just let me know that he might not be able to make it to my wedding this year. He’s a professor of environmental science, and his department is preparing for massive cuts (while the state burns).

I can’t help but notice that every time someone floats raising the retirement age, it’s some white collar office worker or politician that hasn’t worked a day of manual labor in their lives.
