Completely agree. Many cities use RITA (Regional Income Tax Agency) to be the middleman for tax. With that said, RITA returns can be a PITA.

It’s not terrible, but most cities have a separate income tax form to file and the rules could be different from one to the other. Also, many school districts have a return too. A taxpayer in Wyoming, OH could have 4 returns to file a year (fed, OH, Wyoming School District and Wyoming City).

Just dumb! Deleting the IRS wouldn’t simplify taxes. It would just complicate the collection of taxes. If elon really believed in what he is saying, he would be talking to Congress about simplification and working with the IRS to improve tech and processes. #TaxSky #TaxTwitter
