I keep telling myself that the Epstein files can't possibly be that bad. I mean these things rarely turn out that way. But they sure seem afraid.

Probably "life is suffering," which is a poor, but common, description of the Buddhist 1st noble truth.

I also don't think shifting "left" or "right" actually means a whole lot in the grand scheme of things. Yes, there's a median voter. But to quote a great thinker from the past:

Regardless, trust is the currency of the realm and building trust isn't just about picking positions off the shelf and expecting people to trust you based on what you picked.

You can argue that his position on Medicare for All is more salient and that's what made people trust him. But I think it's a different process. Perhaps I'll write a substack about what I think that process is.
