We weren’t planning to be home for Thanksgiving (that storm yesterday landed at the precise wrong time for our road trip), but since we are, we have Kamala’s cornbread dressing, two sleepy boops, and most of the xmas decorations up.

The 9% of revenue David Berri calculated that WNBA players currently get (that’s backed out, not prescribed in the CBA) has really gotten traction in the ongoing discussion.

One caveat on the percentages is that he’s doing his math on all revenue, not BRI. Gender disparity is still huge, though!

Remember, a few years back Adam Silver said - without offering any proof - that WNBA losses were $10 million per year. Last year - despite a large jump in revenue - the NBA claimed (again, without any proof!) that those losses had jumped to $50 million. If the NBA can get the players to accept this latest offer, the NBA owners will be taking in far more than their imagined losses each year from the WNBA players. This is what the NBA gets by simply refusing to close the gender-wage gap in their organization. And all this means the NBA is right. This is a "highly lucrative offer". For the NBA!

Our DPOY Alanna Smith has very different taste in coffee than I do, but since I’ve already been significantly over caffeinated this week, I’m gonna make this quad shot happen.
