Librarians are going to be your conduits to community education and liberty with all these cuts to education. Fight like Hell to keep your libraries going. Show them support. Get library cards, and if your states and towns aren't protecting them, MAKE NOISE.

My heart goes out to colleagues in STEM, and to all of higher ed right now. This admin is Not Good for us.
Still, I can't help but wish folks had cared when it was the Rest of Us in the crosshairs. I can't get over the idea that many were OK with us being attacked by the far right because "DEI."

Imagine all firefighters were told "You all still have salaries, but as of today the government will no longer pay for building maintenance, firetruck maintenance and repair, hydrant upkeep, or admin assistants."
That's what they're doing to US universities.

It is deliberate and wanton devastation entirely out of scale with any concern about DEI activities on campuses.
