The Exhibition Grounds haven't always been on Smythe Street. In the late-1800s, they were located on York Street, near where the old Hartt shoe factory is today.

I agree maps should always have north towards the top.
Inversely, posted building floor plans should always be oriented so the direction you’re facing is up. It always throws me off when these are in the wrong direction

Not 💯but I think it’s because when teams are listed by conference on paper (not on a map), eastern teams are often on the left because of alphabetical order

I read that too. TBH, I understand that they can’t accommodate everyone. My main beef (lol) is with the thinly veiled xenophobia and the knee jerk reactions because it looked like they were accommodating a minority group.

For the record, j’essaie pas juste de te contrarier. J’essaie vraiment de comprendre et so far j’ai pas vraiment vu d’argument convainquant pourquoi on ne peut pas accommoder une communauté minoritaire qui est croissante dans notre province

Pis aussi, pour ceux qui s’inquiètent de la cruauté envers les anuimaux, la définition de halal inclue « the humane treatment and proper slaughter of animals ».
