A critically endangered Red Wolf pup hunting voles. There are an estimated 17 wild Red Wolves remaining in the wild, all in rural northeast north carolina. These wolves are the only endemic wolves in the US.

The Administration is propsing a rule that would gut the ESA. They want to erase/redefine the regulatory definition of “harm.” The piece of the law that says destroying critical habitat—like a wetland, forest, sagebrush—is illegal if it leads to death or decline of an endangered species.
