I saw a tribute video to her on Zelenskyy’s Twitter feed that went into the aftermath of Chornobyl. The survivors from the company town were moved to apartments in Kyiv, many in the very building that Russia targeted. A neighbor, a hero of Chornobyl, survived the attack, now with a damaged home. 🕯️

I follow @ilvestoomas.bsky.social , who is really hitting the extradition issue hard as a sign of Ukraine’s commitment to ridding itself of any remaining corruption. He hasn’t seen evidence of any such requests yet. Even if the extradition is unsuccessful, he views the attempt as an important sign.

They did. I had a friend at church whomwas a survivor of Chernobyl. She'd had severe radiation sickness and barely survived. I met her nine years later, and her health was still poor.
