“Distractions” are the preferred way to alleviate stress. Students who process their stress socially do better in assessments. Students who can’t identify their stress-relieving strategies do worse.

Wow, thanks for linking these, will definitely be sharing them with a few colleagues.

Think these might be hitting the nail on the head: aside from academic honesty, the big risk of these tools is students "unlearning" how to learn!

To clarify, I'm not referring to assessments here as they obviously come with additional challenges.
