A lot of ppl don’t like the PvP in Arc Raiders, but as someone with a limited tolerance for PvP, I think there are some loose social rules that 70% of players follow: Med/High loot zones are hostile, Extraction is friendly, anywhere in between you can plead your case.

I’m only a couple missions in, but Battlefield 6 is perhaps THE MOST BORING military action story ever told. Like the mission design is above average, but the story itself is mathematically calculated to produce as little emotion as possible

I’ve been puzzling over Eddington for the past week. I liked it, probably the least of Aster’s features, but the ending had me fully bought-in! It’s not centrist, but I think it has flaws that leave it open to that interpretation…

Modern Nintendo games are really excellent but often bounce off your brain the moment you put them down, and I think that’s because they can’t make a new villain to save their lives. The best-case scenario is a Bowser or Ganon rerun, but the rabbits from Odyssey? 3000 different shadow samuses? Cmon

Why is “friendslop” becoming a term now when the genre is finally healthy and viable? Like, Peak & REPO are perfect refinements of what Phasmophobia promised when it first hit early access

I really do respect Clair Obscur but I will never trust its fans because it appeals to the exact kind of gamers who complain that every AAA game is the same and then never play any indie games that don’t attempt AAA-style photorealism

re: trans people in sports - would you accept a trans man playing in the MLB? From a liberal perspective, yes! Of course! Diversity win, we love the forward march of progress!
Now, how would you propose they reach that goal? Cuz they gotta start somewhere, and the MLB doesn’t scout girls teams.

Sarah McBride literally represents me in almost every possible way. State, county, gender, race, economic background, etc. I think she’s exactly right about how her resistance to the capitol bathroom bullshit would’ve been taken. And I think she’s wrong about so much else.

Silicon Valley is a factory generating a million guys a year braying "the problem with every public good is that I'm not making money off it, and this app fixes that" and people still wonder why capitalism must be destroyed

I have unshakable confidence in my Star Wars opinions. I would be forthright and obstinate as the hounds bark, frothing at the gates. My spirit would not waver, and as the dust cleared over the destruction, I alone would remain standing.
What take would you choose to argue on jubilee with total confidence that you’d crush 20 opponents?

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Dishonored has the best names for shit. Lord Regent. The Pandyssian Continent. Empress Jessamine Caldwin. Like are you serious, no one will ever top this string of nouns.

Remember when Skeen tries to convince Andor to run away with the money after Aldahni? That’s so good. Like Cassian has nothing to lose: no one would die, the rebels would still have their win (if not their money), but he shoots Skeen to protect an idea, the feeling that he did something good

I didn’t watch The Last of Us Season 2, but I’m thinking about the complaints about it and remember how good it is to have really rotten characters. Like it’s good to understand how someone got to where they are, but we don’t need to constant redeem villains or justify heroes!
