As a US American, I'd be curious of any overlap with a trend I've noticed here: after the pandemic hit, there is no casual nightlife outside massive cities. Even in large cities, everything but bars closes by 8pm, if not earlier. Most retail is shuttered by 5-6pm. Many restaurants by 3pm.

Agreeing from Kentucky. And noticing their expected "I was only joking".
When you know *why* education is the way it is in certain places, the jokes lose any humor.

Forcing everything into an app is an added layer. While apps can have benefits like being more secure, apps create a closed environment that browsers do not. Operating systems can block apps. OSs can't block websites as easily. Ideally, websites are accessible and function well in a mobile browser.

My contribution: I tried a bite of smoked salmon two weeks ago in an attempt to embrace the culture of a beach city... and then returned to being vegetarian after the texture made me want to gag.

This is exactly the music I imagine people listening to while they circle around the deep fried turkey vat and dance.
