May be an unpopular opinion, but in #gamedev, a lot of ideas are pretty shit, coming up with actually decent ideas is incredibly difficult. In my own project, it took me a good 2 weeks of brainstorming to finally come up with a decent melee system for my own project. This at least goes for me.
