Just reposting this which I think is the most gorgeous thing I have seen in my career - a critically endangered orange-bellied parrot feeding on a carpet of daisies after an ecological burn. This was the first time they’d had the chance to feed naturally in 15y and was wonderful to witness

I kinda prefer to believe noone notices me at the pool ever but today a lady I’ve never spoken to and honestly don’t remember even seeing before said she thinks I’m walking better, just a little bit but still better and hey I’m feeling very chuffed! Thank you random stranger for making my day!

Tough arvo with mum’s delirium today. Oddly I find it easier when she’s angry and agitated, I’ve got much better at calming her. But today she switched suddenly to sad and scared, and I find that really really difficult

I had grand plans for finally cleaning up and reordering my bookshelves this long weekend. But right now buns is having a nap in front of them and disturbing her is just not an option. Cleaning plans thwarted!
