It’s coming along nicely. I got some good feedback last week at Protospiel Madison. I think this chocolate game fits the feel of the chocolate mechanism better than Modern Chocolate did

A couple new chocolate models this week. The new version needs to differentiate between shapes more than the last one.

This looking awesome!

Not much new for me this week. I put the final touches on my chocolate prototype for Protospiel Madison next weekend. I have been making some notes about an RPG design but I’m not expecting that to go anywhere.

Yeah, the sizing was good! Now on to printing in color and a lot of cutting.

Checking sizing on my black and white printer before getting some color prints made. This is the prototype of my latest chocolate game.

I agree. I was surprised not to see a ship aspect to Stoneburner. I see the ship in a space game just as important as the ship in a pirate game. I’m running a stone burner one shot in a couple of weeks and I’m trying to decide if I home brew a ship sheet or modify the story.

Made some paper printable chocolate tokens for my next chocolate game prototype.

When a game has more value assigned to it than I paid for it then I say I’ve gotten enough value from it.

I try to not have more than 5 games in my collection at a time that I haven’t gotten value out of.

I believe this. I think I’m today’s world of flashy game art and Kickstarter hype that it’s much easier to get people to buy a game than it is to get people to play a game. People impulse buy games that they never actually have time or the group to play

It doesn’t need to be a twist on something existing, it could be a completely new mechanism as long as it makes the theme exciting or appealing to players.

I like your recycling rondel theme, sounds fun

My opinion is that a good design can turn nearly any theme into a great game. The theme ideas that typically excite me the most are the ones that I come up with an interesting mechanism pairing around.

I finished the playtest document for the first 4 levels of Paiku’s Tilted Tale (solo pnp)! After I get feedback from the first couple of testers I’m hoping to get it out to a wider audience.

Thanks for taking the time to add helpful details!

I’m not really sure why I’m not more excited about it. I think it might be because it feels like the least creative project I’m working on.
